PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of preventing liquid compression. SOLUTION: A compression unit 38 is provided with a compression chamber 68 formed by a movable scroll 40 and a fixed scroll 46 to compress the refrigerant sucked from a low pressure side path 4 in a refrigerating circuit, a discharge chamber 70 for supplying the compressed refrigerant having high pressure from the compression chamber into a high pressure side path 6 in the refrigerating circuit, a bypass chamber 80 for connecting the compression chamber with the low pressure side path by bypassing the high pressure side path, and a communicating hole 88 for communicating the bypass chamber with the discharge chamber to discharge the refrigerant containing liquid in the compression chamber into the discharge chamber through the bypass chamber.
