PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine having a blow-by gas discharging device with extremely simple and low-cost structure, improving a separation efficiency of oil mist from air, by suppressing entering of oil mist into a blow-by gas discharge passage and a breather device caused by rotation of a gear disposed in a gear case chamber of the engine. SOLUTION: The engine has the blow-by gas discharging device guiding blow-by gas from the inside of a gear chamber. The blow-by gas discharging device includes: an inlet chamber communicating with a blow-by gas inlet opened to the inside of the gear chamber; an outlet chamber communicating with a blow-by gas outlet connected with the breather; and one or more of oil separation means disposed to all or either of the inside of inlet chamber, the inside of the outlet chamber, and/or between the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber to separate oil from air in the blow-by gas. The blow-by gas inlet is cylindrically formed, and is projectedly installed into a depression formed in a disc part and a side part of a lightening hole of the gear. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
