PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with the bending of a scanning line, the variation in a scanning position and the variation in the bending of the scanning line in an optical element being the component of a scanning imaging optical system. SOLUTION: A glass plate 329 as a reinforcing member is attached on the upper face of an anamorphic lens 122 which is one of the optical elements composing the scanning imaging optical system along longitudinal direction via a damping tape and rigidity is improved. The attitude of the anamorphic lens 122 is controlled with adjusting screws 308 which pressurize and hold the anamorphic lens 122 at a plurality of points in the direction perpendicular to a deflecting direction and a leaf spring 302 which energizes in the direction opposite to the pressurizing direction. In this composition, a delicate adjustment is possible because the pressurizing force acting on the anamorphic lens 122 with the adjusting screws 308 and the elastic force acting with the leaf spring 302 act in the directions opposite to each other.
