PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign substance removing apparatus easy in the maintenance and capable of sufficiently exhibiting foreign substance scraping effect even when the large quantity of a foreign substance is deposited on the surface of the drum part of a process roll. SOLUTION: The foreign substance removing apparatus is provided with a foreign substance scraping belt having a scraping surface being in contact with the surface of the drum part of the process roll along the longitudinal direction of the roll drum.
