PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker improving the rice cooking performance by eliminating the effect of outside air. SOLUTION: This rice cooker is provided with a sealing means 11 for cutting off the inflow of the outside air into a pot outside space 10, which is formed between a pot 2 and a protection frame 6. The air in the pot outside space 10 heated by the pot 2 during the rice cooking expands to move upward, however, the inflow of the outside air is cut off, so that the heated air becomes scarcely move to reduce the cooling of the pot 2 by the outside air inflow into the pot outside space 10, retain the interior of the pot 2 in a high temperature state during the rice cooking and improve the rice cooking performance.
