PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine with a drying function capable of further improving efficiency in drying laundries according to the situation because of the flexibility in the mode of blowing of hot air into a washing/dewatering tub. SOLUTION: The washing/dewatering tub 30 holds the laundries and is rotatable around a vertical axis. Drain from the washing/dewatering tub 30 is guided to a drain channel, and air blown by a blower 92 is heated by a heater 94 to be hot air. The hot air is blown from either one or both of the upper and lower parts of the washing/dewatering tub 30 according to the position of a selector valve 99 disposed in a branch part 98. The mode of blowing the hot air into the washing/dewatering tub 30 is flexible such as blowing only from the upper part, blowing only from the lower part, or blowing from both upper and lower parts of the washing/dewatering tub, and therefore, the range of options for the mode of blowing of hot air is expanded.
