PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for confirming the ecosystem behavioral range of small animals by which the behavior of the small animals, e.g. amphibians, reptiles, birds, raptores, fishes and small-sized mammals are traced without damaging the small animals in various natural environments such as forests, rivers or the lakeside damaging test individuals over a long period and the ecosystem behavioral range of the small animals can thereby be confirmed and to provide an apparatus for confirming the ecosystem behavioral range of the small animals. SOLUTION: The method for confirming the ecosystem behavioral range of the small animals is carried out by attaching a small-sized transmitter 1 to a band body 2, mounting the band body 2 on each small animal and thereby confirming the behavioral range of the small animals. The small animals are the amphibians P. The band body 2 is formed from deerskin as a material into the shape of a ring and attached to the waist part of the amphibians P. On the other hand, the apparatus for confirming the ecosystem behavioral range of the small animals is obtained by attaching the small-sized transmitter 1 to the band body 2 formed into the shape of the ring and mounted on the small animals.
