The chime has a wind wheel (1) with a vertical axis of rotation, which is defined by a connecting unit (2) e.g. chain and thread, in an operating condition. A mass (3) acts between an attachment (7) of the connecting unit and an area at a side of the wind wheel for stabilizing the operating condition, where the side is turned away from the attachment. The wheel is connected with an end of the connecting unit in a torque-proof manner, where the unit has a high torsion elasticity. The mass has a decorative crown (5) e.g. plastic or metal bead. The wheel is made of plastic.
