The snow blower has an integrated, downstream snow-compactor for compressing the snow (1) after mixing of the snow with a milling tool. The snow is compressed in a compactor-chamber (6) by a piston. The snow blower and the compactor are driven by a motor (4). The snow blower and the compactor are mounted on a chassis and form a machinery operating unit, where the snow blower has a tapering cross-section. A filling area of the compactor is arranged above the snow blower.
