<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine suppressing the leakage of fuel from a fuel injection valve, by decreasing the pressure of an accumulation chamber without making a driver feel odd when the internal combustion engine is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel supply device 30 for an engine 1, the fuel pumped up from a fuel tank 31 with a low-pressure fuel pump 32 is pressurized and stored in a delivery pipe 34, and the fuel stored in the delivery pipe 34 is injected from an injector 35. The fuel supply device includes: a return passage 50 connecting the delivery pipe 34 with the fuel tank 31; and a relief valve 51 disposed to the return passage 50 and switchable between an opened state where the delivery pipe 34 communicates with the fuel tank 31 and a closed state where the communication between the delivery pipe 34 and the fuel tank 31 is blocked. The ECU 60 makes the low-pressure fuel pump 32 operate by switching the relief valve 51 to the opened state when a predetermined stop condition for stopping the engine 1 is satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
