<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of secret data due to the loss or theft of portable computer terminal equipment. <P>SOLUTION: Data are stored so that the data can not be read unless any predetermined read information exists in the computer terminal equipment, and when it is necessary to read data, a server device is notified of the information indicating that effect. In the server device, terminal equipment (allowed terminal equipment) having right to read data in the computer terminal equipment is stored in each piece of the computer terminal equipment, and when information indicating that it is necessary to read data is received, the permission from the permission terminal equipment is confirmed, and only when it is permitted, the read information is supplied to the computer terminal equipment.
