<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently recovering high-grade In in which the mixing amounts of Cd and Sn can be minimized, from In scrap containing Cd and Sn and also to provide recovered In. <P>SOLUTION: The indium recovery method includes: a step of dissolving In scrap in hydrochloric acid (hydrochloric acid dissolution step); a step of adding metal In to the resultant solution to precipitate Sn and remove it (Sn removal step); a step of adding a sulfide source to the above solution to precipitate Cd sulfide and remove it (Cd removal step); and a step of recovering In from the solution (In recovery step).
