<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar antenna with a simple configuration, which provides an excellent characteristic and is inexpensively manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: A grid array antenna element 12 is located above a ground plate 11 at a prescribed interval. The grid array antenna element 12 comprises: a grating arrangement of nine short-side elements 14 made of linear conductors; and six long side elements 15. In this case, four rectangular elements 16<SB>1</SB>to 16<SB>4</SB>are formed by seven short side elements 14 and six long side elements 15, and each short side element 14 is singly arranged to the left of the rectangular elements 16<SB>1</SB>and the right of the rectangular elements 16<SB>4</SB>respectively. The grid array antenna element 12 is turned by about 45°on the ground plate 11 to obtain a polarized wave of 45°. The grid array antenna element 12 uses a left end 17<SB>1</SB>or a right end 17<SB>2</SB>of the short side element 14 in the center of the grid array antenna element 12 for a feeding point, and a feeder 18 is connected to the feeding point 17<SB>1</SB>or 17<SB>2</SB>from a lower part of the ground plate 11 via a feeding hole 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
