<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving and low-cost exhaust gas treatment system. <P>SOLUTION: In this exhaust gas treatment system, exhaust gas is introduced to two serially connected exhaust gas treatment apparatuses 3, 31 to enhance the removal ratio of exhaust gas components to the highest possible extent. Configuration of respective exhaust gas treatment apparatuses 3, 31 not to produce (discharge) waste water dispenses with additional provision of a waste water treatment facility to the exhaust gas treatment apparatuses 3, 31, to reduce initial cost.
