<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a traffic information succeeding apparatus and a method for holding the continuity of traffic information. <P>SOLUTION: Traffic information is sequentially stored in a traffic information collection primary storage region 7 but stored in a secondary storage device 8 at fixed time intervals. Furthermore, the traffic information is transferred from the secondary storage device 8 of a control substrate (active system) 2 to a secondary storage device 10 of a control substrate (reserve system) 3 at the same fixed time intervals, and can be additionally stored successively to traffic information in the past when the control substrate (reserve system) is substituted and system-switched to the active system. When substituting and system-switching the control substrate (reserve system) 3 to the active system, traffic information which is temporarily stored in the primary storage region 7 and prior to being stored in the secondary storage device 8 is transferred to the reserve system immediately before the substitution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
