PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable route guidance by voice even for a hard-to-guide crossing such as a crossing having complicated shape. SOLUTION: A navigation system performs route guidance along the recommended route by calculating a recommended route from present position to the destination comprises: difficult guidance spot pattern memory 31 the user is hardly recognizing the recommended route correctly; guidance difficult spot determination part 411 for determining whether the guiding spot is coincident with the guiding spot recorded in the difficult guidance crossing pattern memory or not; the difficult guidance spot information part 412 for creating the information for guiding the difficult guidance spot; and the output part 5 for outputting the guidance information for informing the reason of difficulty of the guidance of the route, and the level of the difficulty are previously reported with speaking.
