PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively and easily manufacturable ink tank capable of providing high-reliability information to a user regarding an ink remaining amount in an ink storage chamber, and a recording device using the same. SOLUTION: A flexible member 3 provided in the ink storage chamber R is moved in a direction of reducing volume of the ink storage chamber R along with ink supply to the outside. The inner face of the flexible member 3 comes into contact with a contact part 7 at the time point when the ink remaining amount in the ink storage chamber R reaches a value not higher than a fixed value. At least a contact position of the flexible member 3 with the contact part 7 is formed of a translucent member. Consequently, it enables the user to confirm the color of the contact part 7 while seeing through a contact place between the flexible member and the contact part via a translucent part 4a.
