PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless receiver capable of performing channel compensation without deteriorating a data error rate to the utmost extent even when an AGC gain is changed. SOLUTION: The wireless receiver uses a reference symbol of a concerned frame and a channel estimate value of a reference symbol of one preceding frame when performing the channel compensation of data symbols. In this case, when the AGC gain at the acquisition of the channel estimate value by the reference symbol of the concerned frame differs from the AGC gain of the reference symbol of the one preceding frame and the AGC gain of the reference symbol of the concerned frame is the same as the AGC gain of data symbols to which the channel compensation is to be applied, the wireless receiver corrects the channel estimate value by the reference symbol of the one preceding frame in a way of canceling the difference between both the AGC gains and uses the corrected channel estimate value for the channel compensation of the data symbols.
