PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device for a vehicle, capable of accurately determining whether the vehicle is in a situation where it needs safety confirmation by a driver or not. SOLUTION: Based on a relation between the curvature of a road in which a vehicle is traveling and steering angleδ, whether the vehicle is in the situation where it needs safety confirmation by the driver or not is determined (step 154). When it is determined that the vehicle is in the situation where it needs safety confirmation by the driver, whether the safety confirmation by the driver is already performed or not is determined based on a processing result of an image taken by a face camera 12 (step 156). When it is determined that the safety confirmation is not performed in the situation where the vehicle needs safety confirmation by the driver, an alarm is given to the driver (step 158).
