PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently grasp flow characteristics such as void ratios, flow induced vibration and flow rate in a chimney of a natural circulation boiling water reactor. SOLUTION: The natural circulation boiling water reactor comprises: a first pressure transmitting path 19 transmitting a pressure through a measurement hole 2a disposed in an open end of a chimney lattice channel 12 or an upper plenum 13; a second pressure transmitting path 19 transmitting pressure from a measurement hole 2c disposed in an arbitrary position of an upper lattice plate 10 channel or a lattice channel 12 or a measurement hole 2b in the bottom end of the chimney; and a differential pressure detection device 3 for detecting differential pressure.
