PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip cutting and compressing device capable of performing chip recovery treatment which facilitates compression, collection, and recovery of the chips discharged from facilities for the purpose of efficient treatment (contracting, splashing, and transporting) of the chips discharged from companies in these days when people requests environmental improvement. SOLUTION: In this chip cutting and compressing device in which the chips 1 generated by continuously cutting and enlarging process material with a lathe are discharged to the outside of the lathe through a chip conveyor 2 equipped with the lathe, and the enlarged chips 1 are transported and input to a compressor 8 for minimizing without stop, at least two direct-acting chip carriers 7 are lowered to the vicinity of a chip crush portion from an upper portion of a chip receiving hopper 3 attached around the compressor 8.
