<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed controller which makes enables to extract the profile containing fluctuating revolution components mostly causing image degrading with high precision without causing phase shifts and can improve the precision of the control to correct the fluctuating revolution components and stabilize it. <P>SOLUTION: The speed controller of an image forming device has a stepping motor 103 to turn the rotating component 101 through a drive gear 102 with the predetermined gear ratio, an encoder 105 to detect the slit pattern of the coded wheel 106, and a controller 107 to control the revolution of the rotating component 101. The controller 107 calculates the fluctuating revolution profile extracting the fluctuation components per one revolution of the rotating component 101 and the fluctuating revolution components of the stepping motor 103 from the encoded data set up by the integral multiple of the gear ratio, and controls the revolution of the rotating component 101 based on the fluctuating revolution profile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
