<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely burn soot when a DPF for trapping PM contained in exhaust is regenerated. <P>SOLUTION: A combustion temperature of SOF in the PM is increased along with deterioration of a catalyst carried by the DPF. On the other hand, although change in combustion temperature of soot in the PM is not very large, it is also increased as the deterioration progresses. Therefore, the combustion temperature of the SOF is detected, and a target regeneration temperature for burning the soot is increased when it exceeds a predetermined threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
