<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission for actualizing efficient cooling of an ECU with the flow of oil while eliminating the need for a dedicated cover for an OCV connecting wire and eliminating the need for an ECU dedicated connector and an ECU dedicated fixture. <P>SOLUTION: The connector terminal of an electromagnetic actuator 12 is directly connected to a film substrate 36 which is adhered to a filter element 33 supported between a hydraulic control body and a strainer cover 32. This eliminates the need for "the wire dedicated cover". Since the film substrate 36 on which the ECU 25 is mounted is adhered to the filter element 33, the ECU 25 can be efficiently cooled with the flow of oil sucked by an oil pump. The ECU 25 is directly mounted on the film substrate 36 and directly connected to an ECU terminal 25a and an ECU wire 37, therefore eliminating the need for "the ECU dedicated connector".
