摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate manufacture of a low-optical-loss polymer optical waveguide through a simple production step, and to make multi-cavity-mold mass production possible for the purpose of reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes: a step of preparing a rubber mold 6 having a plurality of recesses 5 corresponding to an optical waveguide core; a step of sticking a clad layer base material 7 closely to the rubber mold; a step of setting a plurality of tapered needle-shaped injecting heads 27 for feeding core-forming hardenable resin to a core-liquid injecting port 23 that communicates with the plurality of recesses 5 of the rubber mold, setting a vacuum suction head 28 at the core-liquid discharging port 24 that communicates with the plurality of recesses 5, and filling the core-forming hardenable resin 9 to the plurality of the recesses 5; a step of forming an optical waveguide core 10 by hardening the hardenable resin so filled; a step of separating the rubber mold 6 from the clad layer base material 7; and a step of forming the clad layer 11 on the optical waveguide core 10.
