PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of reducing an amount of ink consumed in replacement of the ink in a recording head. SOLUTION: This liquid jetting device is equipped with opening/closing means 21 and 22 for opening and closing a plurality of supplying flow channels for supplying the ink to the recording head 30, and an atmospheric air ventilation means 20 that opens the inside of the recording head 30 to the atmospheric air when the ink is sucked by applying a negative pressure to a nozzle by means of a suction pump 11. When the ink to be supplied to the recording head 30 is switched from a first ink A to a second ink B, the sucking is carried out in a condition that the first opening/closing means 21 is closed and the second opening/closing means 22 is opened, and then the first ink A filled in the recoding head 30 is diluted with the second ink B. The ink in the recording head 30 is sucked to be discharged in a condition that the second opening/closing means 22 is closed and the atmospheric air ventilation means 20 is opened. The second ink B is sucked to be filled into the recording head 30 in a condition that the atmospheric air ventilation means 20 is closed and the second opening/closing means 22 is opened.
