IMAGING APPARATUS HAVING DISTANCE MEASUREMENT FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an imaging apparatus having a distance measurement function and to reduce the cost thereof. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: an image sensor (30) which captures an image by receiving reflected light; a light emitting element(52) for measurement of distance which radiates spot light onto an object; and a control circuit (90) which drives the light emitting element (52) for measurement of distance, detects the position of the spot light of the light emitting element for measurement of distance from the captured image with the image sensor (30) and calculates the distance to the object. The image sensor (30) for capturing the object can be used as a light receiving element for measurement of distance. Thus, an independently provided light receiving element for measurement of distance is unnecessary, the imaging apparatus is miniaturized and the reduction of cost is possible.
