PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine for surely holding and fixing an equalization conductor 12 by using a low-cost means. SOLUTION: In a field coil, two or more strands ofΦ1.0 or smaller are bundled and wound directly around a field core 8. A terminal 9a of one edge side held by a first coil holding unit of an insulator 13 in the field coil is connected to a motor lead line 11 via a connection bar 10; while a terminal 9b of the other edge side held by a second coil holding unit of the insulator 13, along with the edge of the equalization conductor 12, is connected to a brush 5 on the positive side. The equalization conductor 12 is formed, by at least one metal line ofΦ1.0 or smaller and turned beforehand to the backside of the insulator 13. Then, both edges are each drawn from the second coil holding unit to the front side of the insulator 13 and jointed electrically with the terminal 9b of the other side of the field coil held by the second coil holding unit.
