PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image providing device capable of displaying appropriately an intended image using efficiently an image acquired through an image pick-up means, even when the direction of the line of sight of the image pick-up means changes. SOLUTION: The image providing device comprises an image pick-up means 10, a storage means for storing an image acquired through the image pick-up means, a display image generating means 120 for generating an image to be displayed based on an image acquired through the image pick-up means, and a detection means 112 for changes in the direction of the line of sight for detecting changes in the direction of the line of sight of the image pick-up means. When changes are detected in the direction of the line of sight of the image pick-up means, the display image generating means generates the image to be displayed, using a past image obtained through the image pick-up means before the changes are detected.
