PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a wideband antenna having an antenna structure optimal for achieving a small wideband antenna. SOLUTION: A wideband antenna comprises a base plate consisting of circular and square conductors, and radiation elements arranged in the center of the base plate in the vertical direction. The distance R from the center to the end of the base plate and the effective height h of the radiation element satisfy a relation h=2R(1+n) under a condition R<h, and a relation R=2h(1+n) (n=0, 1, 2...) under a condition R>h.
