摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle engine reducing the consumption of engine oil and suppressing deterioration in exhaust gas performance, regardless of a supply amount of the engine oil. SOLUTION: Breather upstream chambers 12 and a breather downstream passage 13 are formed in a head cover 5 of the in-vehicle engine 1. The breather valve upstream chambers 12 communicate with a crank chamber, the breather downstream passage 13 communicates with an intake passage 11 through a breather pipe 10. By closing the breather valve 8, the breather valve upstream chambers 12 and the breather valve downstream passage 13 are partitioned. The breather valve 8 is forcibly closed by a solenoid 9 for closing the valve, based on a fact detected by an inclination sensor 15 during traveling, that is, a fact that an engine inclination angle is a predetermined inclination angle or more.
