PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life vortex pump having a bearing structure in which chattering is hardly caused. SOLUTION: The vortex pump 1 includes an impeller 20 comprising a plurality of blades 22 formed on the periphery of the impeller and a rotor magnet 40 provided on the inner periphery thereof, a shaft 41 secured to the center of the impeller 20, a bearing member (ball bearing 50) arranged on the outer periphery of the shaft 41, a motor stator 70 arranged below the impeller 20 and on the inner peripheral side of the rotor magnet 40, and case members 10, 60 having an intake port and a discharge port, for containing the impeller 20 therein and partitioning the impeller 20 from the motor stator 70. In the vortex pump 1, by providing a permanent magnet 54 for attracting the impeller 20 toward the motor stator between the ball bearing 50 as the bearing member and the motor stator 70, the above-described problem can be solved.
