PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage apparatus capable of enhancing cleanliness when articles are stored therein. SOLUTION: This article storage apparatus comprises an article storage rack S having article storage parts 14 in the lateral direction of the rack, an article carrying vehicle V moving in the lateral direction of the rack in a carrying vehicle moving space 15 at the front of the article storage rack S, and a cleaning air ventilating means B for flowing cleaning air from the rear of the article storage rack S to the carrying vehicle moving space 15 through the article storage part 14. Straightening plates 41 for receiving and guiding air abutting on the front end of the article carrying vehicle V in the moving direction and flowing to the article storage rack S side to the rear of the article carrying vehicle V are installed in the article carrying vehicle V at intervals from the article carrying vehicle V in the lateral direction of the vehicle body.
