PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing apparatus of microspheres having disc-like, sheet-like, rod-like or thread-like shape which is capable of stably, largely and efficiently manufacturing the microspheres, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: Emulsion including dispersed phase particles having disk-like shape enters a recovery passageway 9 formed on a cover 6 via a recovery passageway 20 between a plate 3 and the bottom face of the cover 6. In the example, the surface of the dispersed phase particles are solidified by photopolymerization and the microspheres 22 as maintaining the disk-like shape are obtained by arranging a light irradiation device 21 as a solidifying means at the inner side face of the bottom half body 1a faced to the recovery passageway 20 and radiating light to the dispersed phase particles in the emulsion flowing in the recovery passageway 20 by the light irradiation device 21.
