PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand drying apparatus for use in a washroom or a toilet or the like, which can prevent scattering of droplets by sucking droplets attached on a hand by a suction nozzle and keep the suction nozzle clean. SOLUTION: The hand drying apparatus 1 is provided with a suction means 2 installed inside a main body, an air passage 3 connected to the suction means 2, the suction nozzle 4 connected to the air passage 3, and a cleaning means 5 for keeping the suction nozzle 4 clean. Scattering of the droplets is suppressed by operating the suction means 2 and sucking the droplets attached to the surface of the hand by the suction nozzle 4, and the suction nozzle 4 is kept clean by operating the cleaning means 5.
