PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute drying without exhausting high-temperature and high-humidity air in a washing tub outside the machine in a drying process in a dishwasher/dryer executing respective processes such as washing, rinsing and drying and its drying method. SOLUTION: Wash water in a washing tub 2 is cooled by a heat exchanger 12. The air in the washing tub 2 is circulated by blowing from an air suction port 16a to an air outlet 16b by a circulation fan 16, is cooled and dehumidified by the surface of the wash water while agitating and then heated by a heater 6. The high-temperature dry air whose relative humidity is lowered by being cooled and dehumidified by the surface of the wash water and heated by the heater 6, is incorporated after evaporating moisture stuck to tableware inside the washing tub 2 and the wall faces. Then, the air is cooled again by the surface of the wash water and separated from the moisture to become low-temperature dry air and further heated by the heater 6 to become the high-temperature dry air.
