An apparatus includes a polarizer film configured to receive light from a liquid crystal display and an optical polarizer screen configured to filter light for the liquid crystal display. The optical polarizer screen has multiple grooves. Each groove includes a first transflective material and a second transflective material that differs from the first transflective material.
