<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method using a thermal transfer method, which is excellent in a blur resistance of an image. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method, the thermal transfer image is formed by a process wherein a thermal transfer image accepting sheet having on a substrate at least one accepting layer containing a polymeric latex and at least one heat insulating layer containing a hollow polymer and not containing a resin having no resistance to an organic solvent, other than the hollow polymer, and a thermal transfer sheet having on a substrate a thermal transfer layer containing one kind of compound of pyrazolone coloring matter expressed by a specific general formula are laid on each other so that the accepting layer and the thermal transfer layer come into contact with each other, and thermal energy is given thereto in conformity with an image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
