<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical semiconductor module which exhibits stable characteristics by suppressing displacement of an optical fiber due to expansion or contraction of a sealing resin when the temperature changes and by reducing the change in coupling efficiency between a light-emitting or receiving device and the optical fiber with respect to a module which is formed by sealing the light-emitting or receiving device and the optical fiber with a transparent resin. <P>SOLUTION: The optical semiconductor module is provided with an optical waveguide 7, an optical semiconductor device 6 which is optically coupled with the optical waveguide 7, an engagement part wherein the optical waveguide 7 and the optical semiconductor device 6 are engaged by a first resin 1 and a second resin 2 which covers the engagement part.
