PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless receiver whereby a communication state close to that achieved by four reception antennas and four reception sections can be obtained and the cost of which can be reduced. SOLUTION: When a communication object of a mobile station is a base station and its own station mobile detection means 8 detects that its own mobile station is stopped, a reception control means 10 sets a reception frequency f1 to a reception section R3, selects an antenna with the highest sensitivity among antennas A1 to A3 and connects the selected antenna to the reception section R3 via an antenna switching section 1. Then the reception control means 10 outputs a reception/demodulation signal to an f1 reception output 6 via a received signal switching section 5, sets a reception frequency f2 to a diversity reception section 4 and awaits interruption. When its own station is moved, the reception control means 10 sets a reception frequency f1 to the diversity reception section 4, sets the reception frequency f2 to the reception section R3 and awaits interruption. When the communication object of the mobile station is the other mobile station and the other station mobile detection means 9 detects that the other station is moved, the diversity reception section 4 receives the frequency f2 and the reception control means 10 sets the reception frequency f1 to the reception section R3. When its own station and the other station are stopped, the reception control means 10 sets the reception frequency f2 to the reception section R3 and the diversity reception section 4 receives the frequency f1.
