PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp device with high reliability hardly causing reduction of a clamp force to prevent a secured member from coming off from the clamp device. SOLUTION: The clamp device comprises: a fixed side sandwiching section 3 formed in a frame 2; a moving side sandwiching section 4 for sandwiching the outer circumference of a member P to be secured in cooperation with the fixed side sandwiching section; a supporting member 12 which is provided with balls 9 of a ball retainer 8 arranged in a plurality of annular grooves 15 and is held slidably to the ball retainer 8; a screw shaft having one end connected with the moving side sandwiching section and screwed in an insertion hole in the supporting member to constitute a feed screw mechanism; and a spring biasing the ball retainer in the advancing direction. In the supporting member 12, the balls 9 are positioned in the inner face side, a plurality of the holes having a diameter allowing at least part of the ball to protrude out of the outer circumference are formed in a plurality of annular rows in the circumference, the insertion hole 13 having a thread in the inner circumference is provided, a plurality of the wedge-like grooves 15 having an inclined face rising high toward the advancing direction are formed on the outer circumference.
