摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make exhaust emission appropriate by appropriately controlling the quantity of air flowing into a cylinder of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: Engine 10 is provided with EGR device for re-circulating part of exhaust gas as EGR gas to an intake system. ECU 50 performs EGR control controlling EGR quantity by adjusting opening of EGR valve 42. Also ECU 50 executes air quantity EGR control using normal air quantity map and learning of learning O2 concentration map in a low injection quantity range, and executes O2 concentration EGR control using learning O2 concentration map when abnormality of an air flow meter 35 occurs. The ECU 50 executes O2 concentration EGR control using normal O2 concentration map and learning of learning air quantity map in a middle and high injection quantity range, and executes learning EGR control using learning air quantity map when abnormality of A/F sensor 32 occurs.
