COOLING STRUCTURE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling structure of an internal combustion engine which can suppress excessive local cooling of a combustion chamber peripheral wall part. SOLUTION: The cooling structure 20 of an engine 10 has a water jacket 14, an opening part 22, and a second cooling water passage 40. The opening part 22 is formed in a side wall part 11a of a cylinder block 11. The opening part 22 has a first cooling water passage 41 guiding cooling water L from the outside of the cylinder block 11 into the water jacket 14. The second cooling water passage 40 guides the cooling water L from the outside of the cylinder block 11 to the first cooling water passage 41. A cross-section 41a of the first cooling water passage 41 opposed to the second cooling water passage 40 is larger than a cross-section 40a of the second cooling water passage 40 opposed to the opening part 22.
