PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple guard structure for falling matter low in cost and requiring less labor for construction. SOLUTION: The guard structure for the falling matter guides the falling matter downstream of a slope while attenuating its falling energy by covering the slope with a net and fixing the net to anchors 20 provided at the slope. The net is composed of a guide net 10 formed of a rope material 11 knit into an endless net. The anchor is composed of a rope material at least in a range exposed to the ground surface, and the exposed part of the anchor is connected to a part of the guide net through a buffer implement 30.
