PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a mate member such as a shower head without increasing energizing force. SOLUTION: This slide locking device is provided with a case 2 capable of elevating and lowering for the mate member 40 while the mate member 40 passes through it, a wedge mechanism 20 having a slope 15 being the oblique direction for the longitudinal direction of the mate member 40 and formed in the case 2 and at least one lock piece 3 arranged between the mate member 40 and the slope 15 and coming into contact with the mate member 40 and increasing or reducing friction force of the lock piece 3 on the mate member 40 by allowing the lock piece 3 to slide relatively along the slope 15 in accordance with elevating and lowering of the case 2 for the mate member 40, an elastic body 6 for energizing the lock piece 3 so as to slide in the direction for increasing friction force, and an operation lever 5 connecting the elastic body 6 with the lock piece 3 to transmit energizing force of the elastic body 6 to the lock piece 3 and operated to let the lock piece 3 slide in the direction for reducing friction force.
