PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbon winding reel capable of making the whole outer diameter in the width direction uniformly small, and conveniently performing a taking-out operation of a wound ribbon. SOLUTION: A ribbon winding shaft 1 whose one end is pivoted and other end is a released end, an approximately semi-cylindrical first reel body 4 fitted so that the peripheral face becomes parallel to the ribbon winding shaft 1, and an approximately semi-cylindrical second reel body 5 fitted movably in the normal direction of the ribbon winding shaft 1 under a condition that the ribbon winding shaft 1 is pinched between the first reel body 4 and it and the peripheral face is held under a parallel condition to the ribbon winding shaft 1, are provided. By moving the second reel body 5 in the normal direction of the ribbon winding shaft 1 by a moving means (winding shaft releasing lever 3), a ribbon winding condition that the outer periphery becomes an approximately round shape, and a ribbon taking-out condition that the outer diameter becomes smaller than that for the ribbon winding condition, are switched.
