PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool equipped with a gas/liquid separating device capable of finely and certainly separating gas and liquid by a simple structure and control, and to provide a gas/liquid separating device. SOLUTION: The gas/liquid separating device 20 is provided with a fluid inlet 21 leading in gas/liquid mixture from a machining chamber 12, a separator 40 separating liquid from the gas/liquid mixture, a blower 31 leading in the gas/liquid mixture to the separator 40, and a fluid discharging port 22 discharging the fluid from which the liquid has been separated. The fluid from which the liquid has been separated by the gas/liquid separating device 20 is returned from the fluid discharging port 22 to the machining chamber 12 again, so that gas/liquid separation can be finely and certainly carried out without discharging even the minute amount of the liquid to the outside of the machining chamber 12. The fluid is forcibly circulated in the machining chamber 12, so that the liquid is also condensed on an inner wall of the machining chamber 12, and can be separated by a simple structure.
