PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous mobile robot capable of projecting and displaying proper related image information on an appropriate projection face near a moving point when the robot moves together with a specified person. SOLUTION: When this mobile robot moves together with a specified person, an image information selecting part 5G selects image information corresponding to a current position of the mobile robot from image information stored in an image information storing part 5F, and a projection face deciding part 5H decides a projection face capable of projecting the image information by a projector 8. Then, a projecting position calculation part 5J calculates a projecting position capable of projecting the image information from the projector 8 toward the projection face, and an in-wheel motor control part 5E controls in-wheel motors 1A, 1B so as to move the mobile robot to the projecting position. Thereafter, the proper image information such as advertisement and alarms relating to the moving point of the mobile robot is projected and displayed on the projecting face such as a head or a back of a specified person.
