PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-fitting device for a valve guide and a valve seat of a cylinder head, whereby the reduction of size and weight, and cost reduction of equipment is achieved by combining a pair of press-fitting punches and a workpiece holding means employing a one side press-fitting cylinder mechanism. SOLUTION: The press-fitting device comprises a base, an upright column 3, a C-type frame 5 which is engaged with vertical guides G1, G2 of the column and liftingly movable, a floating mechanism 10 for floating the C-type frame in a weightless state, a movable press-fitting punch P1 which is mounted on the tip end of the press-fitting cylinder C0 disposed downward on the upper end of the C-type frame, a fixed press-fitting punch P2 fixed upward on the lower end of the C-type frame 5, the workpiece holding means 50 for the workpiece W supported on the base in a space S between the movable press-fitting punch and the fixed press-fitting punch, a turning means 20 for matching the hole of the workpiece and a recessed part to the advancing/retracting direction of the movable press-fitting punch and the fixed press-fitting punch by turning the workpiece holding means, and driving means 30, 40 for moving the workpiece holding means to the horizontal direction in the space between the movable press-fitting means and the fixed press-fitting punch.
