PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiratory function inspection apparatus which improves reliability of spirometry or forced spirometry by making a patient make maximal exhalation and maximal inhalation. SOLUTION: After giving information of urging the patient to exhale (S14), it is judged whether a respiratory flow rate becomes equal to or smaller than a threshold set in advance (S15b). When it is judged that respiratory flow rate is larger than the threshold (N), S14 and S15b are performed. When it is judged that the respiratory flow rate is equal to or smaller than the threshold (Y), speeches of "fill your lungs with air" and "take a breath" are output (S16 and S17). After giving information of S17, it is judged whether the respiratory flow rate becomes equal to or smaller than the threshold set in advance (S18b). When it is judged that respiratory flow rate is larger than the threshold (N), S17 and S18b are performed. When it is judged that the respiratory flow rate is equal to or smaller than the threshold (Y), speeches of "empty your lungs" and "breathe out" are output (S19 and S20). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
